Sheriff Cody :)

****updated the info on card****

Hello all!!! I will be back later to give you all the details on this card, just wanted to upload real quick.

My nephew's birthday was Thursday and today we all are getting together to celebrate, so I am off and running again, LOL!!!

I hope he likes his card and can't wait to see him!!!

Until later......

Hello, I am back to give you the deets on this card :)

I have had this stamp and patterned paper from The Greeting Farm for a bit now and have not used them. I know I am so bad. I get these goodies and completely forget about them. There are many stamps that are not loved enough, and that so needs to change, LOL!!!

I really love the Ian stamps. They remind me of my nephews so much, so for this card I picked the sheriff Ian and colored him with my Copics. Love those markers, I just need to learn how to use them to their full ability :) I wanted an airbrush background for him so I cut the cardstock with my nestabilities dye and left the die on and used my Copic airbrush system and airbrushed away. After I removed the die, it had the white border which I thought turned out great. Just for a little extra I made the tag and turned Ian into my nephew Cody :) After I took the pic I realized that the yellow stars were a little bright so I colored them with my gold marker to match the badge and belt buckle on Ian.

I really love coloring my embellishments with Copics or my DecoColor markers. You will ALWAYS get the perfect color to match your project :)

This week is going to be a packed week, I am going to pick up my nephews today after Church and get to have them for the week, we are having Thanksgiving at my sisters house, so the boys will be with me until we go back up there. Fun times. I have alot of stuff planned for when they are here. I can't wait :) I do have projects that I have completed so I will be getting pics of those and have the scheduled for you, plus I am sure I will have tons to show you with all the crafts and stuff the boys and I will be doing, so keep an eye out for those.

I hope you have a good rest of your weekend and you get to craft!!!

Sorry.....

...for not keeping up with my blog as planned :)

It has been a crazy last few weeks, lots going on at my house, some fun and some not so fun!!!

First my daughter is in the 9th grade and decided almost at the last minute that she wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance. Now she never really wanted to go and then the neighbors girls were going and then she decided she wanted to go and then she changed her mind, and it went like that for a few weeks. After I gave her the money for her ticket, it was final she was going, lol!!! Saturday was filled with "girly" things, her friends came over and spent time "primping". It was funny and cute. I didn't want to to pics of all the girls, not sure if it was ok with the parents so this is one of my daughter that I got right before we all walked out the door. Oh and a funny thing, since she took awhile to finally decide she was going we didn't get a chance to really look for a dress, so what she wore is a dress that I wore for my sisters wedding 7 years ago that my mom had made :) It actually fit her pretty good, but i am sure that I definitely would NOT fit in, LOL!!!

I do have some projects that I was able to work on today to share with you later, as I was trying to get pics and edit photos, my husband and I found out the neighbor across the street, their house was broken into and it was a weird break in, where they REMOVED the whole window. The scary thing is the I was home the whole time and crafting away and never heard a thing. So now my alarm in the house is set and feel very uncomfortable at the moment. I know it wasn't my house, but we all live VERY close together and it just feels weird. We have noticed people going thru our recyclable trashcans when we have them out on trash day, so not sure if people are scoping out houses or what, but everyone right now is on edge.

I promise to get something uploaded a little later this evening, just trying to feel a little better about all this and talk to the rest of the neighbors to figure out what we all can do so this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Spread the Love Blog Hop

This is a VERY special post, PLEASE read fully.

Background info:

"On October 4th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mother, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."

My husband read this story in our local paper and when he told me about it, it broke my heart. As soon as my mom told me about this blog hop, I knoew I had to do it and make sure Jaimie and her father feels alot of love from our crafty commumity.

If you did not come to my blog from the Wags n' Whiskers Challenge blog, please start at the beginning of this blog hop at Katharina Fei's Blog .

First of many Christmas cards.....

I have officially started designs for my Christmas cards :)

I started with the sketch challenge from Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog.

I really LOVED this sketch and I am actually liking the way this card turned out. I made it simple so it will be easy to make lots at one time.

If you have any questions, just let me know. I have something special I need to write up for tomorrows blog post, hope to see you back tomorrow!!!
