Sheriff Cody :)

****updated the info on card****

Hello all!!! I will be back later to give you all the details on this card, just wanted to upload real quick.

My nephew's birthday was Thursday and today we all are getting together to celebrate, so I am off and running again, LOL!!!

I hope he likes his card and can't wait to see him!!!

Until later......

Hello, I am back to give you the deets on this card :)

I have had this stamp and patterned paper from The Greeting Farm for a bit now and have not used them. I know I am so bad. I get these goodies and completely forget about them. There are many stamps that are not loved enough, and that so needs to change, LOL!!!

I really love the Ian stamps. They remind me of my nephews so much, so for this card I picked the sheriff Ian and colored him with my Copics. Love those markers, I just need to learn how to use them to their full ability :) I wanted an airbrush background for him so I cut the cardstock with my nestabilities dye and left the die on and used my Copic airbrush system and airbrushed away. After I removed the die, it had the white border which I thought turned out great. Just for a little extra I made the tag and turned Ian into my nephew Cody :) After I took the pic I realized that the yellow stars were a little bright so I colored them with my gold marker to match the badge and belt buckle on Ian.

I really love coloring my embellishments with Copics or my DecoColor markers. You will ALWAYS get the perfect color to match your project :)

This week is going to be a packed week, I am going to pick up my nephews today after Church and get to have them for the week, we are having Thanksgiving at my sisters house, so the boys will be with me until we go back up there. Fun times. I have alot of stuff planned for when they are here. I can't wait :) I do have projects that I have completed so I will be getting pics of those and have the scheduled for you, plus I am sure I will have tons to show you with all the crafts and stuff the boys and I will be doing, so keep an eye out for those.

I hope you have a good rest of your weekend and you get to craft!!!

Sorry.....

...for not keeping up with my blog as planned :)

It has been a crazy last few weeks, lots going on at my house, some fun and some not so fun!!!

First my daughter is in the 9th grade and decided almost at the last minute that she wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance. Now she never really wanted to go and then the neighbors girls were going and then she decided she wanted to go and then she changed her mind, and it went like that for a few weeks. After I gave her the money for her ticket, it was final she was going, lol!!! Saturday was filled with "girly" things, her friends came over and spent time "primping". It was funny and cute. I didn't want to to pics of all the girls, not sure if it was ok with the parents so this is one of my daughter that I got right before we all walked out the door. Oh and a funny thing, since she took awhile to finally decide she was going we didn't get a chance to really look for a dress, so what she wore is a dress that I wore for my sisters wedding 7 years ago that my mom had made :) It actually fit her pretty good, but i am sure that I definitely would NOT fit in, LOL!!!

I do have some projects that I was able to work on today to share with you later, as I was trying to get pics and edit photos, my husband and I found out the neighbor across the street, their house was broken into and it was a weird break in, where they REMOVED the whole window. The scary thing is the I was home the whole time and crafting away and never heard a thing. So now my alarm in the house is set and feel very uncomfortable at the moment. I know it wasn't my house, but we all live VERY close together and it just feels weird. We have noticed people going thru our recyclable trashcans when we have them out on trash day, so not sure if people are scoping out houses or what, but everyone right now is on edge.

I promise to get something uploaded a little later this evening, just trying to feel a little better about all this and talk to the rest of the neighbors to figure out what we all can do so this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Spread the Love Blog Hop

This is a VERY special post, PLEASE read fully.

Background info:

"On October 4th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mother, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."

My husband read this story in our local paper and when he told me about it, it broke my heart. As soon as my mom told me about this blog hop, I knoew I had to do it and make sure Jaimie and her father feels alot of love from our crafty commumity.

If you did not come to my blog from the Wags n' Whiskers Challenge blog, please start at the beginning of this blog hop at Katharina Fei's Blog .

Next spot is Shannon's Blog

Thank you so much for joining us and I hope that you too will join us in making a card for Jaimie and mail it to her at the address below or on the blickie in the sidebar.

First of many Christmas cards.....

I have officially started designs for my Christmas cards :)

I started with the sketch challenge from Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog.

I really LOVED this sketch and I am actually liking the way this card turned out. I made it simple so it will be easy to make lots at one time.

If you have any questions, just let me know. I have something special I need to write up for tomorrows blog post, hope to see you back tomorrow!!!

Vintage Label Tag

Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!! Whooohooo, I am soo excited that it is finally the end of the week. This week has been a little crazy so I am looking forward to some relaxing and hopefully some crafting time.

Today what I have to show you is a tag I made for my wristband thingy that I use to workout everyday with. Everyone that uses them, has the same one and they are put on a wall after we are done with our workout and when you come back it is so hard to go thru and find your name (names are printed on the purple oval), so I decided to make a little tag for mine so it is a little bit easier for me to find it in the morning.

I used Papertrey's new set Vintage Labels and stamped it in Staz-On Teal on polyshrink plastic. I also stamped the accents in Pink Staz-On and my name is Black Staz-On. I punched a whole, WAY bigger than I wanted it to be after it shrunk and then cut it out with Nesties that coordinate with the Vintage Label set. I used my heat gun to heat it until it was fully done shrinking. Easy Peasy :)

FYI: I made such a bad mistake when heating the plastic. In my picture, I have the tag on my Scor-Pal Mat, now when I did the heating process, I was soooo NOT thinking and I left it on the mat as I was heating and now my mat is bubbled in the middle of it. So note to self....NEVER heat anything on my Scor-Pal mat :) Not so good at all.

Curves Report

This is not a crafty post, but I have been working very hard this past month and was very happy after I saw the printout, so I thought I would share.

One thing that I have been working very hard on, is, working out. I have really wanted to get back into shape and really just have more energy. I have noticed lately that I am just not in the mood or have enough energy to get things done like I want. I have always been an active person, then I realized that all that was lacking and needed to do something about it.

My goal when I first signed up at Curves, was to lose a little weight, but mainly it is to firm and tone and to get my energy level back up.

To my HUGE surprise my month of working very hard at my workouts and eating better, I lost 9lbs, total of 9.50 inches from a combined total of all my measurements that get taken and 2.63% body fat!!!!!

I have been going everyday I can, they are closed on Sundays, so that is my relaxing day, but I really have been making this a HUGE part of my day and it has really paid off :) They also have a "Smart Card" that you can purchase and trust me, I am telling you that is the ONLY reason why I did so well this month. That card thingy REALLY makes you work, you have to keep your machine in the "green" and if it goes to "yellow" you know you need to work harder. It has really kept me on my toes and not slacking off. Best thing, I tell ya :) Oh, yeah almost forgot and you earn "Curves Cash" and you save up to buy certain things from ther store. Very cool. I have earned like 2 shirts already and working on my next.

Ok, so enough of my rambling about my day today. I will be back later today or tomorrow with a project!!!!

Blog Candy Alert!!!

***SECOND POST FOR TODAY***

I was blog hopping and ran across lila tueller designs blog.

She designs fabric patterns. Sooooooo awesome. I love sewing/quilting, it is very relaxing. My mom, daughter and I have some material for quilts to work on together. We all will have matching quilts. Very cool.

If you haven't realized yet, my favorite color is PINK :) This material she is giving away for her blog candy right now, looks soo pretty and I have been having ideas running tho my head on what to use it for. Hopefully I will win, lol, and I will make sure I show you what I came up with!!!

Make sure you stop by her blog and leave a comment to be entered!!

Thanks for your support

Happy Monday!!!!

I hope everyone was able to get alot of cards made for National Card Making Day!!! I had every intention of getting into the craft room, but I was in alot of pain for the dentist Friday, so I ended up relaxing and sleeping all weekend. Which I guess was very needed. I was able to not do a thing all weekend. My parents had my daughter for the weekend and my husband just took care of me and we just did not do much of anything. I have many projects going thru my mind that I really want to do, so this week will be alot of craft time for me :)

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I had this card made. I really like how it turned out. It makes me think of a closet :) The patterned paper with the scallop white border, not sure who made it, except I know I got it from Joann's a little while ago. The hanger, bra and sentiment stamps, I purchased from All that Scraps.

I hope you have a good rest of your day and I will be back tomorrow :)

Take Care-Feel Better Soon

Geez, has it really been that long since I have posted? Life has really taken center stage at my house, and with some of it good and other stuff that was not so good, the month just sped by. Trust me, you really don't want to know all the details, but a very fast run down would be like this.....my baby (my dog) got sunburned, and I don't mean a tiny bit, MOST of her back, this was the worst part. I have been babying her like there is no tomorrow (I will have to post her in her new outfits I bought to cover her back until the fur grows back, too cute), have had major tooth aches and waiting for the new insurance to kick in, not fun, my daughter went back to school, and having to make sure everyday that her work is done or she wont do it (trust me past experiences have told me to keep on her, don't want another year like last year), and then I have decided to start working out again (which my trainer has been kicking my butt, lol). So that is my last month in a nutshell :)

With everything that has been going on, my crafting time has been zero. Boy have I missed it so much.

So while I have been working out, I have met some wonderful women, I go to Curves for Women, and one lady that I talk to alot she has beat Breast Cancer and now as of tomorrow is starting her reconstruction surgery which is going to take up to a year to fully complete. I wanted to make her a card last night so that when I saw her this morning, I could give it to her, just so she knows that her friends that workout with her everyday are thinking of her.

For this card, I used 2 different challenges. The first one is over at Whimsy Stamps Challenges and you are supposed to use eyelets and the second is a sketch challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

The weird thing, I was in a purple mood last night, and not knowing her favorite color, I decided purple would do. Curves primary color is purple and since I met her there I thought it was fitting. Funny thing is that today I found out her favorite color is lavender, so I was right on the money with the color scheme :)

I used Papertrey Ink cardstock and stamps. I really like having the ribbon coming thru the eyelets and tying in a bow. I colored the image with my Copics and added glassy effects to the pitcher.

I also made her a little something also, but I will will save that for another day. I need to get ready to go to bed, LONG day tomorrow. Up at 6 out the door by 630 and then my workout and the straight to the dentist and hopefully getting the most painful tooth taken care of. I am sure I will be in bed for most of the day tomorrow relaxing, so I will post again :)

Have a great rest of the night and an even better Friday!!!!!!

Absolutely Fabulous

Hello :) Here we are at the end of another weekend. Ummmmmm, weekends need to be alot longer ;)

Today I have the final card I did for the Week of Challenges over at Club Anya.

This challenge was to use your favorite sketch. I used the sketch from a week or so from Friday Sketchers #64. This time tho, I turned the sketch sideways. There is so much you can do with just this one sketch, I guess that is why I like it sooo much!!!

The cardstock and patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink. The color combo I used is their new color Enchanted Evening. Anya from the Dressy Anya collection, looks so cute in this color, very sophisticated :)

Hope you have the good rest of your Sunday evening. I am gonna go finish dinner so I can go and comment on the rest of the entry's.

See you all tomorrow :)

Smile & Shine Hippie Style

Hello all!!!! Happy Saturday :)

I hope everyone is getting in some crafting time and really creating!!

I have decided this weekend is going to be staying home and relaxing. I get to craft and finish up a few projects I have been meaning to do.

My card today is another challenge over at Club Anya's Week of Challenges!! This particular card was made for Thursdays challenge called Smile and Shine. You still have until tomorrow evening to participate. Go check it out. This is alot of fun and everyone is so nice!!!!

I haven't played with my new Hippie Anya, so I decided what better way to use her than to make her shine and sparkly. The patterned paper is glittered and I added glitter to her headband, necklace and bracelets.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Mod Squad from Papertrey Ink. I thought it fit Hippie Anya perfectly :)

I added some glitter around the edge of the sentiment box and then drew freehand (there is a reason why I do not draw for a living, hehehehe) the peace sign.

I hope you liked it and if you haven't already, please check out the Club Anya blog and join in :)

Brown & Blue Style

WhoooooHooooo, it is Thursday!!!!! That means only one more day before the weekend and relaxing time :)

I hope you all are having a very good week. It has been a crazy week here, trying to get into a routine for school and work, hopefully all the bugs will work out soon.

Yesterday's challenge over at Club Anya was to create a project using the colors brown and blue. I LOVE brown and pink together, so I figure if I think of the blue as pink, I should be good. Brown and blue REALLY looks good together :) It is going to be a new color combo for me.

I used the sketch challenge CPS128 over at CPS-Card Sketches. This sketch was really fun. If you have not taken a look over there, do, LOTS of inspiration :)

The stamp I used is from The Greeting Farm called Dahlia in the Wild Sprouts section. She is too cute.

The cardstock is Spring Rain and patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink. The crochet flowers I made to match the Spring Rain cardstock.

Have a Happy Thursday!!!!!

Enjoy the Moment Anya style

Hello and a HAPPY WEDNESDAY to you!!!!!!!

I have something, funny to share with you today. Remember yesterday when I told you that over at Club Anya, they are doing challenges all week and they have to do with Back 2 School things. Well the challenge for yesterday the challenge was CRAZY HAIR DAY :)

I remembered to doing that when I was in school and then helping my daughter do weird things with her hair. So, when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for this challenge, it popped into my head that I had a picture of my daughter on one of her crazy hair days. We never did the same thing year after year. She loved trying different things each time. The picture below is from 8 or 9 years old. It was when I still had my baby and not a teenager, LOL!!!!

I used The Greeting Farm, Butterfly Anya, but just eliminated her wings. The hair that is standing straight up, is actually from Nurse Anya's hair :) It was perfect!!!

The sketch for this card I used a challenge from Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm. It seemed to really fit the image and work very well I think.

Here is my inspiration picture :) VERY FUNNY!!! I laughed and laughed at this picture while making my card. Love it!! Yup, yup, she has blue hair. That was her favorite color then, so after I finished drying the egg whites to make her hair stand up, I had to color with blue spray.

I am off to get back to work so I can work on the next challenge :) I hope you all have a great Wednesday!!

Teacher Anya Note Board

I hope every ones week has gotten off to a great start!!!

Today, I have a little project I created for a challenge over at Club Anya. They are having challenges all week and you can win prizes, whooooohoooo!!!!!

Today's challenge was Back 2 School. I am so excited that my daughter is back in school, except I can soooo do without the 5:30 wake up time, so not me :)

I decided that I wanted to make a Note Board for one of her teachers. She had her for part of the year for math and then got pushed up since she was finishing her work within 5 min of class, and then when we found out she had her this year for math again we were excited. I really liked her. I hope she likes it :)

I started with a 8x10 clear acrylic panel from Kits2Remember. LOVE THIS STUFF!!!! I stamped Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm with black Staz-on ink. I flipped the panel over and used sharpies to color her in. The black strip in the middle is black twill ribbon from Papertrey Ink. On either side of it is white paper and patterned paper also for Papertrey Ink. I stamped "NOTES" in black staz-on ink. Punched a couple holes in the corners and attached ribbon, and that is all there is to it :) So easy, literally took like 10 min.

I hope you have a great Tuesday!!!!

Make A Wish!!!!

Happy Monday!!!!

I am gonna start this week off REAL good :) I have projects lined up for you all and I have plenty more ideas overflowing in my head that I need to get onto paper!!

I am really having fun coloring in these cute images from Inky Impressions. They are just the cutest things.

This card I made for 3 different challenges, whoooooohoooo, I am on a roll.

First up is the Sketch Challenge #77 over at Taylored Expressions. This was a fun sketch to play with. If you haven't already, go check it out, so fun.

For the next challenge, you are to use a birthday theme for this challenge over at Stamp with Fun. This was cool since I was already coloring this image and it worked perfectly for this challenge.

For the third challenge over at Copic Creations, you were to color eyes. Ummmmm, I REALLY need to purchase images that have bigger eyes to color, so I can practice more. This challenge is being sponsored by InStyle Stamps and the images that they gave the design team are awesome, so I will be shopping there for sure, as soon as I get my paycheck, hehehehe.

The designer paper is Autumn Leaves. I got it on clearance at Michael's awhile back. The colors are so vibrant in real life. The red ribbon is May Arts. The cardstock, Whisper White and Pure Poppy, is from Papertrey Ink. Oh and the sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink, Mega Mixed Messages.

I hope you all have a very good Monday. I am off to get some work done, and I mean some. Not sure yet how much is some but I will figure it out soon I am sure :) I really want to get back in the craft room before I get my daughter and the 2 neighbor girls from school.

Mojo Monday 98

Here is another card I finished yesterday while I was in my crafty mode :)

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday Sketch Blog. I can always count on a very well sketch each week. It is always helps when I want the thinking to be done for me.

I also wanted to use some of my stamps that don't get enough love from me. It is so sad. I wanted to make sure these were inked up.

The stamp set I used is from Verve Stamps. If you have not realized it yet, but I LOVE flowers. I am telling you, I don't know what it is actually, but I am a real sucker when it comes to them.

The cardstock, ink and "hello" sentiment I used is from Papertrey Ink. The colors are Lemon Tart and Scarlet Jewel. The "hello" is from Mega Mixed Messages.

The flourish stamp is from a really good friend, Jessica, over at Kits2Remember. I met her at a class I took at a local scrapbook store and always loved going and really looked forward to it. She moved to Florida and the local store closed, so I don't get to see her. The stamp is one of many flourish stamps they have. If I am not mistaken, it was her sister-in-law that drew them up. So awesome!!!!

I almost forgot, the main image is one of the flowers and I drew a pencil line around one of my nestabilities on my cardstock and I stamped the first flower and masked it and stamped again until I got completely around. There were a couple empty spots so I used a smaller flower from the same set, making sure I masked the big flowers before stamping. I really like the effect it created, hope you do to.

I think I am done for todays posting. I will save the rest for this week.

Hope to see you back here agin!!!

I'm here for you

Hello again :) One more card before I sit back down at the craft table.

I made this card for 2 different challenges. I really like that I can try and combine some challenges. It actually, for me anyways, is a bit harder to create. Trying to make sure the you have what you need for the different challenges in one card. It makes my brain work a little harder, hehehehe.

For the first challenge is over at Stampin for the Weekend. This is a sketch challenge :) Whoohooo, another thing already done for you just need to in put the elements. I really liked this sketch too. I can see so many different outcomes with just this one sketch.

The second challenge is from A Spoon Full of Sugar. This challenge is right up my alley, use FLOWERS!!! Love flowers and if I could put them on EVERY card I would ;)

I really liked the way it came out. Soooo pretty in person. It is actually being mailed tomorrow to my grandma. She is going thru some rough times right now with her health, so I am hoping it is going to put a smile on her face. She lives in a different state then me, so seeing her in person is very hard.

All supplies for this card is from Papretrey Ink.

Friends Forever

Hello!!! I hope everyone is having a very good weekend. I know I was in need of some crafting time. Life seems to have overtaken my craft time and I missed it tremulously.

Since I have not been in the craft room for a bit, my crafty mojo seems to be on vacation, LOL!!! So what better way to get in the swing of things by doing some challenges. Boy was in nice to create.

This card is actually for 3 different challenges, crazy but I did it.

The card sketch is from Friday Sketchers. I REALLY like this sketch, I actually made another card from this sketch too, but I will show you that one a different day. You still have to time to enter, so go try it :)

The second challenge is from Whimsy Stamps Challenges. For this challenge you needed to make a friendship card.

And for the third challenge is from Inky Impressions Challenges. This is a color challenge. You needed to use Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip & Pixie Pink. These colors are all from Stampin Up. If you do not have those colors, you just need to use something close to it. I used Certainly Celery ribbon and Chocolate Chip on the small rectangle. I did not have Baja Breeze or Pixie Pink, so I used some patterned paper that was close to the Baja Breeze and for the pink I used Hibiscus Burst from Papertrey Ink.

The patterned paper is Basic Grey-Lemonade collection. The Copic markers I used to color in the image were, E00, E25, E55, Y18, YG25, R59, RV14.

Ok, I am off for a bit. I have a few more challenge cards to post, but need to take photos.

Hope to see you all back here soon!!!!

Inky Impressions 2nd Design Team Call

I LOVE these little girl images from Inky Impressions.

I saw one of the images online and HAD to look them up and when I ordered I was looking around and found that they were having a Design Team call. What lucky timing, I must say :)

As soon as I got my order, I had to stamp a few and color. Coloring is so much fum and I am really liking the images that I can sit and play with my markers.

This card, was very simple. The background is actually a sheet of designer paper with the blue strip already on it. I really like how it looks like she is sitting on it.

The next two pics are a couple of my favorite projects that I have put on my blog. I have others that I really like also so it is very hard to just pick one, kwim?

Happy Anyaversary Blog Hop

Hello!!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful time Blog Hoppin for the Anya-versay :)

I am in love with these images. They are so fun to color and are just the cutiest!!!

I won't be chatty right now, I want you to be able to get around to all the participants blogs.

I really like butterflies and flowers, so when I saw this cute Anya, I HAD to have it. I used a glitter pen to add some sparkle, and I mean LOTS of sparkle in real life, lol!!! I wrapped ribbon around the layer and added punched butterflies to it, for a different effect. Hope you like it.

Have fun and Happy Anya-versay!!!!!!!

Papertrey Ink May Blog Hop

Hello All!!!!!!!

I am so happy I was able to participate in this months blog hop. For this challenge I decided to make a set of cards with matching envelops for a friend. I made them simple so that I could mass produce, but like the way they came out.

The colors I used were white, lemon tart and berry sorbet. I have always liked these colors together and then seem to be very bright and summery :)

On the lemon tart section, I stamped circles from Polka Dot Basics in lemon tart and then in berry sorbet, I stamped a flower from the Boxes, Bags & Tags set. I wrapped some lemon tart satin ribbon around the card front and then used a dimensional to adhere the circle. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages. Just for a little bit of shimmer, I added the angel wings shimmerz the the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I can not wait to go thru and blog hop :) I have grabbed an energy drink and snacks and I am ready to go!!!!

Smooches

*****Second post for today, please scroll down*****

OMG!!! Isn't this image too cute? :) It is one of the summer release from Whiff Of Joy. I am in love with these images.

I loved the strawberries in the basket, so i took it from there. I was able to combine tow challenges with this card.

The first challenge is from Stamp Something. This challenge is a sketch challenge. I love to do the sketch challenges, especially when I am stuck and can't really start on a card. It really does help :)

The second challenge is over at Copic Creations. This challenge is to do blonde hair on your image. I actually like the blonde hair on this cutie. The yellow was a good bright color to pair up with the strawberries.

I used Guidelines Stamp Set from PaperTrey Ink and created the background. I stamped a strawberry in every other square. I am not sure if you can see it in the picture, but I added crystal effects to the strawberries in the basket :)

I hope you have a good rest of the night and I will see you tomorrow with some more projects!!!!

For the love of music

Hello all!!!!! I hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend. Ours has been good so far. Yesterday we went to a Dodger Baseball game with my sister and her family :) It was alot of fun, crazy, but fun.

Today, I have been able to do crafty stuff, so I decided that I would catch up on some challenges that I have been wanting to do.

This card I made for 365 Cards challenge Day 72. You had to use some form of music on your card. I had this pattern paper from DCWV for awhile. My daughter made a journal for her vocal class and there was scrap pieces that I thought I would use. I paired it with the Ipod Bella. Love her :) They are so fun to color. I picked yellow as an accent color, very bright and added just the right amount of color, I thought.

I will be back later with another card :)

Sympathy is always the hardest...

.......cards to make.

My boss' best friend just lost her mom and I was asked to make a card for her to send.

I don't make many sympathy cards, for some reason they are always the hardest for me to make. It is such a difficult time and you want your card to be perfect for that someone.

My sister gave me a few cards to go off from and I liked them both, but as soon as I started making this card, it ended up making itself and came out very lovely, in my opinion :)

I knew I did not want to use black and I did not want to use bright bright colors. I started with PapreTrey's Smokey Shadow for the card base (it looks black in the picture, sorry) and white. I wanted an accent color so I thought I try Lemon Tart. It is so pretty. My husband really liked how it came out :)

The stamp set is PaperTrey, With Sympathy. I stamped the vine stamp in the smokey shadow and added lemon tart flowers. The sentiment is also stamped in smokey shadow. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch to add a little dimension also I wrapped Lemon Tart satin ribbon and attached a clear button around it. For just a little sparkle, I added Stickles to the center of the flowers and on the edges of the butterfly.

I hope you like this card and hope everyone is having a good week so far!!!

Friend

***Second post for the day, please scroll down***

Oh my gosh!!!! I got the summer pack from Whiff Of Joy and all I can say is WOW!!!!!! Every stamp is awesome and way worth the money. I promise, go take a look. I can't even tell you my favorite, each on has it's own special thing about it.

This card is 3 challenges in one, whooohoooo, love that :)

The sketch came from Friday Sketchers Blog. What a fun sketch, I am so gonna have to use it again. It was fun and looks way cool.

The second challenge is Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog. For this challenge, you were to make a friend card. Who does not need a friendship card on hand? I always like having them, for that quick card needed to get mailed to brighten someones day.

The third challenge is over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar. This challenge was to use buttons. Now, trust me I have buttons around, but for some reason they are not the embellishment that I grab. It is weird, since they make a very nice affect to a card.

I hope you enjoyed these two cards today or this evening actually :) I am working on a few things, so I am really trying to be back tomorrow. I started Maggie Holmes Photography class today, so hopefully I learn alot and my pics will be better and better. Also, my daughter is doing a Genealogy project for a class, so that is been interesting the last few days going thru our family history.

If friends were flowers,

I'd pick you.

I so love this saying. It has alot of meaning for a very special friend.

The Whimsy Challenge Blog right now has a challenge called Flower Power. My second favorite thing, hehehehe :)

This card is a 5 inch square. I needed a little bigger card to accommodate the huge flower from Prima. I paired it with some patterned paper from PaperTrey Ink. The sentiment is also from PaperTrey called, Green Thumb. Oh, on the flower, I wanted some sparkle so I added Shimmerz, Angels Wings to each petal. It is very sparkly, IRL,

"Annie"

I hope everyone had a great time at the PaperTrey and Greeting Farm release party. I sooooo wish I was there :)

Instead I was watching Annie :) This is my daughter, JoAnna during a solo part that she has. She is Duffy, one of the orphans. It was a great show. It was opening night, so there were some snags and it did not start on time, but all the kids did a great job, and as for me, I was very proud mom :) Oh yeah, and trust me this is so not the only picute :) One of my daughters friends told me on the way home, "Was that your flash I kept seeing the WHOLE show", LOL, yup that was me, hehehehehehe.

My daughter LOVES to sing and the school she is in right now is a performing arts school. The school has done many plays and I am wondering what the next one is gonna be.

I am gonna rest today, we got home very late and had to get up way too early to get her to school again today. Not sure why opening night was on a school night, but what can you do ;)

I hope everyone has a very good Friday and a wonderful weekend. I am hoping to get to my craft table, but we will see. My daughter has me for the next couple more days running around for Annie, but i am sure I will need to relax and craft at some point :)

Paper Dolls :)

***Edited to add: tonight I will be at my daughters'Annie production performance, so I will be missing the Anya VSN and the PaperTrey release, but I will will be back to order and check out all the goodies, you can bet on that :)***

WhooooHooooo, lookie at what I came up with for my niece. A paper doll little play set :)

This is what started, let me start for the beginning. PaperTrey Ink added a new category for their Guest Star Stamper using Lauren's My Timeless Template. So I knew I wanted to try something this time around. Then over at Club Anya blog they were having a contest called Club Couture: Spring Fashion Show 2009 for the release of the new Anya stamps. Now when I think of a fashion show I was thinking of a RUNWAY!!!!!

So my concept of a paper doll play area took shape. On one side is the Runway part of it and the other is the forest :) I know my niece is gonna have a blast playing with this.

I used Anya & Ian and all their little clothes. I stamped, colored and cut all of them out. I had to figure out how to make the clothes be interchangeable, so I laminated the dolls and the clothes and then added magnets on them so they stay on to play with but easy to change when she wants her dolls to be dressed in something else :)

And this side is the forest. I used the stamp set, Forest Friends and Father knows Best over at PaperTrey Ink. I am so excited to mail this to her and can't wait to hear from her and hear what she thinks of it.

Thank you for letting me share this project with you. I had soo much fun making this and seeing it come together. Have a good Thursday, I will be in and out all day and actually until Saturday. My daughters performance of Annie is 3 days in a row with 4 showings, so it is gonna be busy busy for us.

You Grow Girl

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!

I am so glad it is Wednesday already, cause that means I get to show you VERY soon the projects I have been working on. I am so excited about that too. It came out soo cute and I know my niece is gonna love it :)

Today I wanted to show you a card that I made some time ago. The stamp set is called Amy's Boutique from All That Scraps. When I saw this sentiment, I knew I want to make a card that made the belly grow, hehehehe. So I started out for when you just found out you are pregnant and that designer paper is flat to the card. Then as you move on, I used dimensional adhesive and added just one for the 3 months and then I stacked 2 for the 6 months and then 3 for the 9 months. In person, you can really see the difference and it is a cool effect :)

Ok, so I am off to finish up last minute thingys on some projects so that I can make sure they are exactly the way I want them and then take pictures. I have been waiting for the right time for that, since I need to do it outside I think.

Have a Happy Wednesday and I will see you later today or tomorrow for sure!!!!

Wishing You a Happy Birthday

Hello!!! I hope everyone started their week off good and was able to get some crafty things done :)

I was able to get a few things done, but can't show them to you just yet. More on that a different day.

Today I wanted to show you a birthday criss cross card I made. This was literally made in like 30 min, and most of it was trying to figure out how I wanted to make it, LOL!!!! My boss called and asked if I could make her a card so she can send it to her grand-daughter for her birthday with a gift card. I knew I had only 30 min before I had to leave to get my daughter from school and since her school is by my boss' house, I HAD to combine the trips.

I did not take a picture of the card insert. I left it plain so she could write on it and there is a pocket on the back of the insert for her to put the gift card in.

My boss LOVED it and I may have to make more like this, hehehe. It will be perfect for those gift card sending birthdays.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!!

You make my life fun!!!

*****Third post for today*****

Ok, this is the last card I will upload right now, so you can have a break :)

I was just cranking out so many projects yesterday that I feel like I can take on the world this week :) I NEVER get a whole day to do that, and oh I am thinking I am gonna have to find the tie to do that again. Major relaxation!!!!

I love this card, it is so fun. This card was made for 2 different challenges. The first one is over at 365 Cards for the sketch and then the second is over at A Spoon Full of Sugar, and this one you had to do something touchy feely.

I have not been able to ink this Anya up yet, that is until yesterday. I found some guitar patterned paper and knew that was gonna be PERFECT!!! The touchy feely part of this card is her hair :) I used Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge. I love this stuff, it is just like fun flock but with glitter in it. So now her hair sparkles like a Rock Star :)

I think is it for right now. I am gonna go get lots of work done so I am good all the way around. My daughter again has practice until 6pm for the Annie production. The show is this weekend, so LOTS of practices and dress rehearsals and such.

Here's hoping for everyone to have a great day!!!!!

Thinking of You

*****Second post for today*****

Hello again, LOL!!! I am so relaxed and happy that I got to spend so much time in the craft room yesterday. I have SOOOOOO many projects done, that you might actually get sick of me, hehehehehe :)

This card was inspired by an ad over at 365 Cards blog. When I first saw it, I knew I wanted to make the background out of squares. Now I did not realize that it was going to take awhile to punch he squares and then line them up :) I am positive that they are not perfect, hehehehe. I used the "Out on a Limb" set from PaperTrey for the tree, and then I sat there and cut it out. Crazy me, but I really like the coolness this card has :)

This moment.....

........contains all moments.

Happy Monday to you all!!!!!!

I have 3 cards to share with you today :) I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day! I was able to sit and relax in my craft area for HOURS. It was fun and relaxing. On Saturday, my family and I, my sister and her family and parents went out to lunch for Mother's Day. So I got to stay home yesterday and relax. My daughter, actually has a huge craft project on Lincoln, it is kind of weird. She has to create a cereal box of Lincoln, you know with a crazy name of the cereal that has the name Lincoln in it and everything. I guess what ever works to make all this info stick, right? So she was doing that and I was making cards, hehehe, so much fun.

This lovely card I made for 2 challenges. The sketch is from Whiff of Joy Challenge blog and the second is from Caardvarks. The the Caardvarks challenge you were to use a verse or quote somewhere. I love this saying, not sure why but it really puts things in perspective :)

Ok, off to upload some more cards for ya :)

Congratulations!!!!

*****Second post for today*****

I am almost caught up on the challenges over at 365 Cards!!!

This week it was very hard to get crafty things done everyday, but I hope this week that will change.

This card challenge was to make a card for a grad. Well, this year I dont know anyone graduating, but my daughter will be going from 8th to 9th, so this going to be for her when she has her ceremony. Which, I am not sure when exactly but I know they will be having it. Making this card, has made me get ahead of the game, now that feels good :)

The layout for this card I used the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday. If you ever need something help when you are stuck on a project, go there. Each Monday, they put up a new sketch for you to try.

The color scheme is the same as the last card. All the scraps were sitting on my table so it just happened that way. The patterned paper tho is stars to match the stamp set from PaperTrey Ink.

I wanted stars on my ribbon and could not find any in my stash that would match. Which if you know me that is COMPLETELY amazing that I don't have it :) Ribbon, for me is such a bad habit. I am always buying it and my craft room is over flowing with ribbon , LOL!!!!

A wonderful time to craft :)

Hello!!!!!!! It was a crazy week, but today I got to do some crafty things and I feel GREAT!!! Happy Mother's Day to you all. I hope you are having a great tie spending it with family or friends.

When I saw the challenge over at 365 Cards, this idea has been running thru my head about making a lollipop to go on my card. For this challenge, you had to use candy to inspire you. Every time I think of candy, lollipops pop into my head. I don't know why but it does :)

The second challenge I am using this card for is over at Stamp Something, this challenge is to make a birthday card for one of the DT members, and guess what, her favorite color is pink!!! WhoooooHoooooo, my favorite too :)

I have had this patterned paper from DCWV and have always liked the butterflies on it. Bright and cherry and very springy. I wanted my lollipop to match the patterned paper, so I cut out one of the butterflies that I liked and applied crystal effects, to give it that shiny look. After it dried, I took some plastic that my cardstock comes wrapped in (total recycling :) and tied a knot with ribbon to hold it closed. The stick is white cardstock and I kept rolling it until it was the size I wanted, glued the end down, and there you have it, a crafty lollipop :)

I hope your rest of the day is wonderful. I am back to crafting. I LOVE these days!!!!

Think Pink Quilt

***Third post today, please scroll down***

I warned you on the last post. I LOVE 365 Cards blog :)

I had to catch up on the challenges, since I was not able to get to my craft table for a few days cause life happens, LOL!!!!

This challenge is actually for today, called Think Pink!!! WhoooooHooooo, my kind of challenge, pink, pink and more pink :)

After having this stamp set from PaperTrey Ink called Quilter's Samplers, I have not inked it up yet. I know, I know, my bad. I felt like coloring today so I thought this set was gonna be perfect.

I hope you all have a good night. I need to get a couple house chores done before I get my daughter from her outing with school.

See you all tomorrow!!!!

You R There & I am Here

***Second Post for today, please scroll down***

I am having a blast doing these challenges over at 365 Cards. If you have not taken a look, I highly recommend it :)

This challenge you had to use the sentiment "You are there & I am here". This card kinda made itself. I saw a chipboard "R" on my table and then it hit me to use that instead of "are".

The designer paper is from DCWV. I loved the colors and that is where I got the color scheme from.

I added the "I am here" to the inside of the card.

Hope you enjoy!!!!!

Mother

Hello all!!!! I hope your week so far is going good. It has been a crazy week here already. Too much to do and not enough time. I have not been able to get into the craft room and boy do I miss it.

Work has been slow today and my daughter is at the taping of American Idol today, so since I don't have to pick her up until really late tonight I thought I catch up on some challenges that I wanted to do for the week.

This card was made for the challenge over at 365 Cards a couple days ago.

I started off with a white card base and picked the designer paper from Papertrey Ink and then went from there. The red ribbon was something I HAD to add at the last minute tho. I wanted just to add a few stitches, but of course the sewing machine was not cooperating with me, so instead of tossing it I made it work :)

I really like the way it ended up tho. It is not too over the top, simple but perfect!!!

Purple, Purple and more Purple :)

Purple is so not my color. Is it not that I don't like it, it is just that I tend to move towards pink :)

I was able to again combine 3 challenges. For me this is challenging in itself, so it is more fun and really gets me to think out of the box.

I knew I wanted to do the sketch challenge over at 365 Cards and then went from there. I actually like how this turned out.

The second challenge is over at Copic Creations. You were to incorporate purple flowers/Lilacs in your project. This is something I really need to practice more on. I LOVE flowers so I really need to practice. Practice makes perfect, right?

The third challenge is called Spring Fling over at Capture the Moment. I really like the inspiration piece from Kelly Lunceford. I so wish I could have flowers like that in my yard :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and took time out and got to relax and craft.

Bouquet of Flowers

I hope you all are getting lots of crafting done today!!! I got a few projects completed but I still have many ideas running thru my head, so I either need to get my butt back to the craft table or write them down before I forget, LOL!!!!!

As I started this project, the idea I had in my head is soooo not the final project. That happens to you too, right? :)

I really like how bright and cheery it turned out. I started with the challenge over at 365 Cards. You are to use 8 flowers in your project. I made a bouquet of flowers :)

The designer paper is from DCWV, that is were I got my color scheme from. The flowers, I crochet the center flowers and then layered them on top of Prima's.

I hope you enjoy. I am gonna get back to crafting. I LOVE days like this :)

A Couple of Updates

I will be back later with some projects for National Scrapbooking Day!!!

I just wanted to put these two posts to the top so everyone has a chance.

"5"

Hello, I hope everyone had a good Friday and you have LOTS planned for National Scrapbooking Day :) Me, I am gonna craft, craft and more craft, hehehehe.

I worked on a card and combines three challenges again. I actually find it challenging so it keeps me wanting to try it more and more.

First challenge is from 365 Cards, you are to use a number on your project. For this one, I choose the number 5, my niece will be 5 next month, can't start too early, huh? ;)

Second challenge is from A Spoon Full of Sugar. This one is to use the colors blue and green. Now this was easy. My niece loves blue and green, so a perfect match.

For the third challenge, it was from Hemidemisemiquaver Design. Now this WAS a challenge for me. I have a HARD time with the clear cardstock. I think I may have to really try and use it more and more. I don't know what it is, but I draw a blank every time I try and use it.

Make sure you plan for some crafting time this weekend. I find it sooo relaxing :)
